Epilepsy affects over 65 million people around the world.

March 26 is Purple Day - an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy.  On Purple Day, people are encouraged to wear purple and host events that help to raise awareness and bring epilepsy out of the shadows.

Tomorrow night, Vince and I will be playing some music for Epilepsy Toronto's Purple Day event at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto.

We are so happy to be able to support this organization that has been such a help to both of us over the years.

Power to the Purple People!!

Hi friends!

Vince and I will be playing on April 4 at Toronto's Free Times Cafe along with Guy Smagghe, Philippe Lafaury, Bernard Dionne, and William Anum.  Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8:00pm.

There will be a couple of newborn Heather and Vince songs, as well as some fun surprises!

We'd love to see you there.

Waiting for the bus this morning, I heard a loud and rather angry sounding "CHIRP" above my head.  I looked up to see my first robin of the year - a true harbinger of spring.

Granted, he looked very puffed up and none too pleased to be sitting in the blowing snow,  but he was a reminder of warmer days ahead.

Soon, a chorus of chirps erupted - and I turned to see that Robin #1 had been joined by nine others of his kind.

Not just one, but TEN robins!

Spring is coming!

I'm looking forward to my first crocus sighting....
