Where on earth does the time go? I see that my last entry was over a year ago (!)

Life is full.

Vince is painting.

Work takes energy.

Music sometimes takes a back seat.

But we are excited to be playing at Buskerfest again this year! A new date and location: September 2-5 in Woodbine Park. Buskers at the Beach!

Happy St. Paddy's!

Vince and I are missing my sister Catherine and her family this year. They always host the best St. Patrick's day Kitchen Party on the planet - but moved to North Carolina in the fall. So we will raise a pint in their honour tonight as we play some tunes with friends and family - in a much calmer environment, to be sure!

Vince and I are in Buskershock. 5 pitches, 4 days, 3 firetrucks, two brides, one banana, and countless memories. We couldn't be more proud of all the ridiculously hardworking staff and volunteers. Thanks to everyone for making Buskerfest 2014 such a success!! See you next year!

Buskerfest - Day 3

Day 3 at Buskerfest was so much fun! 9 hours straight of puppets and Celtic music. How awesome is that?? (Special thanks to Bence Sarkadi for being such a great pitch-mate. He even brought us cookies!!)

We had a great day today on Music Pitch D, in the beer garden! The weather stayed dry and we met some wonderful people, including a newly wed bride and groom who came out to cheer us on! Thanks to everyone for listening.

Buskerfest - Day 1

We played from 12:00pm - 7:00pm on Music Pitch A (Yonge and Queen), sharing the pitch with magical marionette master Bence Sarkadi and doing 20-30 minute rotations. Despite not saying the "r" word all day, part of the afternoon was a washout, with hastily covered instruments, puppets and gear. Also there were firement. See pic below. ;)
